I've been painting for nearly 30 years and have watched Scotch brand masking tape degrade from the finest, most reliable product into unusable rolls of flypaper scraps. The paper is too thin and the adhesive is apparently too dry and tacky. As a production painter I don't have five minutes to get a roll of tape started.
