Get a long screw drive and put it on the pump and put the end of the screw driver to your ear this will tell you if the pumps spinning via the vibrations. With regards to the flow switch remove it from the cold water inlet body and use a magnetic screwdriver to put inside the flow switch.

Only just checked manual I got confused with the promax he yours is a system boiler similar to a glow worm I think

No it wouldn't I was mistaken for a combi sorry, it could be numerous things is the system sealed or unvented it could be the flow switch, temperature sensor or overheat stat without investigation it's hard to tell, I had a similar problem once where the boiler would fire briefly and cut out ended up being a faulty ball cock, therefore not enough water in the system and the boiler locking out.

To me it sounds like you have an unvented cylinder and a sealed system therefore the pressure is constantly high so no pump is needed on the DHW, considering you have no hot water or heating is strange because it sounds like the solar panels heat your hot water

also have a look in the manual if these thermistors are in dry pockets (no draining needed) and just change them they're only a couple of quid
