What is CITI online?
The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) online training program is the official certification program for KSU-affiliated personnel per our Federal-wide Assurance of Compliance. The main courses include biomedical research, social and behavioral research, student research, various animal research courses, responsible conduct in research, conflict of interest, IRB or IACUC or IBC member training, as well as biosafety/biosecurity and export controls. Go to www.citiprogram.org to either register a profile or log in to the CITI training program website.
Where to email CITI training?
If you have been notified by the IRB that your study is pending approval due to the CITI training requirement, once you have successfully completed the appropriate training please email confirmation to the IRB at [email protected] .
How Do I Register at the CITI Site?
In order to take the appropriate training, you must create a member profile at the CITI website and register your affiliation with KSU.

What is CE certificate?
CE credit certificates are provided as an additional and separate service to individual learners wishing to accrue CE/CME credits toward their professional credentials. Subscription fees paid by organizations only give learners access to CITI Program courses for their assigned training.
Does CITI inform you of your certification?
No. Your licensing agency will inform you of your status. CITI Program can inform you on which certified courses and modules you have completed.
Is CITI accredited?
CITI Program courses are approved through the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Center for Continuing Medical Education (CCME) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for CME (ACCME) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Does CITI submit credits to recertification agency?
No. CITI Program does not submit credits earned to your recertification agency. It is up to the individual to submit the necessary information to their agency.
