Defense Soap thoroughly exceeded my expectations by getting rid of my fungus/itch problem while also being a good shower soap with a pleasant scent. After that you have to know I'm giving Defense soap a well earned 5 stars! I highly recommend this as something to try for skin fungus problems.

All soap is made with lye. Soap, most simply put, is made from oils mixed with lye. The chemical reaction saponifies, which results in soap.
How long does it take for soap to set?

So the soap surrounds the water insoluble things like oil, the carboxyl group gets this all dissolved in water, and when you rinse, removes it. Pretty keen.
