I guess this is the right forum to ask I cannot find anywhere else the meaning for the P/ID abreviation FE, (for the ones that dont know p&id is a Process and Instrument Diagram that ilustrates symbology of piping lines and general layout for the projects), I am currently modifying some P&IDs and I got across a symbol FE, any ideas of waht does it mean? I know for example that PI is a Pressure Indicator a PT is a Pressure Trasnmitter a FI is a Flow Indicator and TT Temperature Trasnmitter but waht is a FE? it indicates that it is mounted between flanges and not with a coupling like the usual indicators..
