This might be the ticket for grassy weed control. The properties of the AI are nothing like Imprelis or Lontrel. Pylex will not move down in the soil far enough to kill trees. Nor will it recirculate in the grass such that clippings from the lawn will kill plants one year later. Dow makes another broadleaf herbicide that is even more active than Lontrel. It will never be allowed on turf. I do not want to ever see it on turf because the effect is not limited to legumes and asters like how Lontrel is. Pasture and IVM only. 2 oz per acre for Pylex vs 4 for Tenacity. BTW. Tenacity will not kill totally healthy, non dormant bermuda not compromised by other herbicides. The worse it will do is turn the tips white for a week, which is soon mowed off.

Has anyone used triclopyr alone (without pylex) to remove bermuda from TF? I talked to a guy today that told me the guys he sells to use triclopyr alone. The label says bermuda "suppression" at 3/4 oz/k for 4 times at 4 week interval. I'm trying to help a guy who is not interested in $500 for the bottle of pylex. Thanks

I think I'm about to try my first Pylex application. A little concerned about the stress on my existing turf though.... Any pointers for preparing for this? My wife will kill me if I nuke part of the front yard to kill a dozen runners of zoysia and bermuda.
