Corpus luteum defects result in fertility issues for a doe. Defects can be caused by stress, body mass index/nutrition, prolactin levels (hormones associated with milk production), thyroid disorders, including iodine deficiency, a short luteal phase, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (cysts).
