Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a program of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals). CMN Hospitals raises funds for 170 children's hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada.

Who is the dance marathon doctor at UF?
Dance Marathon at UF is working closely with UF Health Screen, Test & Protect to ensure that the Main Event can safely occur following the University of Florida and CDC event guidelines. Dr. Cindy Prins, the UF Health Screen, Test & Protect Campus Infection Preventionist, has reviewed the current Main Event safety plan. DM at UF will continue to work with Dr. Prins and UF Health Screen, Test & Protect as we plan for the Main Event.
What temperature do you need to be to attend the dance marathon at UF?
All members will have their temperatures checked before entering the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Temperatures must be below 100.4° to attend the Main Event.
How are dancer spots allocated?
Dancer spots will be allocated to each Organization based on their yearlong fundraising and involvement.
How many members are in a dancer group?
Dancers will sign up with a group of two to four members of their Organization which will serve as their QuaranTeam for the duration of the shift. They will be in the same Dancer Group as their QuaranTeam.
Is the Dance Marathon live?
Yes! The Main Event will be live-streamed on various social media platforms. There will be additional opportunities for Dancers, Captains, Emerging Leaders, Ambassadors, high schoolers and visitors to attend virtually. Do dancers have preference shifts?
Dancers will preference shifts once their spot is confirmed. We cannot guarantee which shift a Dancer will be assigned due to space availability. Please see the Dancer FAQ section for more information on shifts, preference deadlines and Dancer groups.
What is the dance marathon?
Dance Marathon at the University of Florida is an annual event benefiting the patients of UF Health Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Each year, students stay awake and on their feet, if able, to raise money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Do dancers get spots?
Not necessarily. Dancer spots are allocated based off of participation and fundraising goals set for each Organization and individual.
Is it a separate thing to register to dance?
Yes, registering to fundraise and registering to dance are two separate things.
Does registration guarantee dancer spots?
Please note: registration does not guarantee Dancer spots. Dancer spots are allocated in the Spring based off of Organizational or individual achievements.
Can you register to dance as an individual?
When registering to Dance, it will ask you which Organization you are participating with, and there will be an option that says “Participating as an Individual.” Once you complete your registration, a Dance Marathon Captain will reach out to you with further details.
Can you register for a dance marathon?
You may register to dance with an Organization team or as an individual. If you are a member of an Organization that does not currently participate in Dance Marathon, you may start a team by registering on DonorDrive.
Is it the same as registering to dance?
This includes students who are enrolled but may have an internship in place of classes. Registering to dance is not the same thing as registering to fundraise. Anyone may register to fundraise at any time throughout the year, but Dancer Registration is only open for the two-week period in the Fall and in the Spring.

Our Miracle Children are the inspiration for every student who is part of DM at UF. Adrienne Williams was born a healthy 8 pounds and 2 ounces in Ohio. She had been examined prior to birth because of her brother’s heart defect, and all seemed well.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a movement uniting college, university and high school students across North America. Students involved in a campus' dance marathon organization spend a year gaining leadership, teamwork, and nonprofit business experience while raising funds and awareness for their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. The year culminates with an 8-40 hour event (the dance marathon) on each campus where students get to meet patient families treated at their local hospital, participate in games and dancing, enjoy entertainment, and reveal their annual fundraising total.
