Distributive Education Clubs of AmericaDECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is an association of marketing students that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions.
Why is it called DECA?
The term is derived from the Greek déka (δέκα) meaning ten. The prefix was a part of the original metric system in 1795. It is not in very common usage, although the decapascal is occasionally used by audiologists.

Using Pop-up Events to Increase SBE Sales
Pop-up events are becoming more popular, and there are plenty of reasons why you should consider having your School-based Enterprise (SBE) pop up in your community.
1. Wear DECA Attire Every Day
This one might sound a bit tough; however, it really will showcase your love for the organization and your overall DECAcation. I hope you have your DECA Story ready, because you'll be getting the infamous “What is DECA?” question from everyone you meet.
3. Attend aN EVENT
Who does not love attending an action-packed conference filled with networking opportunities, workshops and keynotes? Luckily for you, DECA Month offers a slate of great conferences that will mold you into the best version of yourself.

Encourage all members of your chapter to participate in DECA Month and the daily social media challenges. Participate in the Collegiate DECA Virtual Case Simulation competition to take on the role of restaurant entrepreneur in this interactive, digital simulation open to all Collegiate DECA members. Cash awards will be provided to the top performers. The competition begins on Monday, November 8, and ends on Friday, November 19, 2021.

What better way to celebrate DECA month than at the Collegiate DECA Engage Conference on November 11-13, 2021, in Austin, Texas?! Connect with other Collegiate DECA members, build your career, sharpen your leadership skills, attend a chapter forum and learn what it takes to succeed in Collegiate DECA’s Competitive Events program.
6. Assess Passport Program Progress
Whether you are working on your Individual, Chapter or Association Leadership Passport Program, now is the time to check-in and see how you are doing. Participating in #DECAMonth, is a task listed on all three passport programs. This is the perfect opportunity to get one step closer to earning a passport award!
