How wide is a Fizik Arione?
Pancake flat, narrow and long, the Fizik Arione is for ultra-flexible riders. At 300mm in length, and with no contouring from the tip of the nose to the tail, it’s designed to allow the rider to move along the length. Measuring 126mm wide in the regular, while the large measures 140mm, it’s a decidedly narrow saddle, and upright riders need not apply.

They not only make excellent road saddles and saddles for mountain biking and triathlons, but they also make exceptional cycling shoes, handlebars, stems, bar tape, lights, and much more.
What are Fizik handlebars?
Fizik also provides many other bike components like saddle bags, handlebar tape, and handlebars. Their handlebars are designed around their Spine Concept EVO. This means riders who are Snakes with high flexibility will have a longer reach on their handlebars, while a Bull will have a shorter reach due to less flexibility. While Chameleon handlebars maintain the long reach of the Snake handlebars, the drops are brought up ever so slightly compared to Snake handlebars. When you’ve determined the type of handlebar you need and the material you want, you can then wrap those bars in Fizik handlebar tape that provides a grippy and soft feel.

Fizik’s breakthrough saddle. Very popular among racers of all levels. Very long (300mm), flattish top, yet narrow. The idea is to offer a multitude of sitting positions along the saddle’s length. Cruising, climbing, descending, aerotucking… you name it, you should be able to find a suitable place on the saddle to sit. Wide of nose. The extended tail seemingly serves little purpose apart from protecting your chamois from a bit of road spray, which is nice.

The Fizik Aliante. If the Arione is for racers, the Aliante is for riders. With its curvy shape, generous padding and kicked-up rear tail it’s a saddle for those who ride at a less full-on pace. It’s more about endurance and distance than speed.
Is the Fizik Volta narrower?
The Volta is markedly narrower than those though. And loads lighter. The Volta is a bit of an oddball but if you’ve tried loads of different modern saddle shapes without finding a comfy one, you should contemplate a Fizik Volta.
