How long is NCOA Air Force?
Duration: The AFSNCOA program is delivered in 25 academic days. There are 6 classes each year with approximately 300 students in each class.
Who is eligible for NCOA?
Eligibility & Dues - NCOA. REGULAR DIVISION: Any individual who served in the U.S. Armed Forces (any branch, active duty, Reserves, National Guard, retired, or separated personnel) and held the rank/grade of E-1 thru E-9 at the time of separation from active duty under honorable conditions.

How are NCOs promoted?
Air Force NCOs and Senior NCOs are promoted based on the Weighted Airman Promotion System (WAPS). Airmen with the proper TIS/TIG/skill level and commander's recommendation compete for promotion based on their "WAPS Points" within their AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code).
