Recently installed a new Ikea kitchen. After fitting new floating floor the Ikea EKESTAD plinth is now too tall. I'm interested to know what you would do. The Ikea plinths aren't' wood or even particle board. It's a kind of veneer mounted onto a piece of plastic.

Cut down with fine tooth handsaw, holding saw at a shallow angle. Main thing is to fully support length of plinth as you cut, get another pair of hands there to help you and stop plinth waggling around
