Keep in mind that any team/committee that is formed to review QAPI processes is tasked with addressing both Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) as well as Performance Improvement (PI). Also describe who will receive communication about any revisions to the plan, and the method of communication. One suggestion is to include language from your vision statement, mission statement, and/or guiding principles. This is not required, but may be helpful in describing how QAPI is integrated into your organization. Describe how the QAPI plan is consistent with and framed on the principles that guide your organization. Provide as much description as possible to show the connectedness between your vision, mission, guiding principles, and the quality improvement culture within your organization. NOTE: In the examples throughout this guide, the team leading the QAPI efforts is referred to as the QAA committee.
