I've been doing DevOps for 3 years in 3 companies and each time, the DevOps team is placed under the IT Operations hierarchy instead of the development hierarchy. There's also the fact that nobody bothers to put devops into a an agile team from the get go. They always half-ass the integration of a devops team. I don't get it.
