The governing body of the Maryland Democratic Party is the Democratic State Central Committee. Committee members are elected from their respective county or legislative district or are honorary (nonvoting) members designated by the Committee.

Cindy was born and raised in Prince George's County, Maryland and is a life-time Maryland resident. She has lived in Southern Maryland since 1984 and in Calvert County since 2007, where her parents were also born and raised.

Taurean Chambers-Hunter, Secretary

Although I initially registered as an Independent, I will be a life long Democrat. My career started working at two successful startups in Baltimore. And after a brief move to Los Angeles, I moved back home to Calvert County to begin helping to heal the political polarization our country is facing.

Hagner Mister, Chair Emeritus

I was born and raised in Calvert County and have spent most of my life in service to the people of this county. For 33 years I worked for the Soil Conservation Service helping farmers to conserve the soil and water of Calvert County.

David Salazar, Member

David was born and raised in Calvert County, Maryland. Currently, the Director of Support Services for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at their International Headquarters in Washington, DC. David is a strong proponent of organized labor and working-class families.
