Keep grinding! After six years, my music finally sounds good
It took me six years to go from zero music knowledge to a level where I consistently produce and mix well enough to play my music next to my favorite artists' music. I just listened to the third beat I ever made (didn't save the first two), and it's ass. I even thought it was bad when I made it because I named it "wack ass beat".
Would you guys be interested in watching Twitch streams where I make a beat from start to finish, explaining in depth what I'm doing and going over techniques I use in creating beats?
I'm an aspiring producer/rapper with around 5 years of experience working in DAWs, with even more years spent learning a wide variety of traditional instruments, with the ones I have the most skill and technique with being guitar, electric bass, and drums, although I've dabbled in a bunch of others.
Rapper copyrighted my beat
Hi everyone. An artist made a song with on of my beats (made from scratch) and posted on Youtube trough Distrokid and copyrighted my video. I disputed the striket but got no answer. I also reached him, he said that he's handling it, but it's been 3 weeks and nothing has changed. Is there anything else i can do to monetize my video?
I don't know whether this is just me..
I've been producing for a couple years now and just getting into mixing. But I find that even after the beat is done I can't hear it as a full, all-round beat but all the "layers" within the beat. Then I find that things are missing because I can hear each singular part. Anyone else have this same issue?
808 not in tune
Hey so Im making a track in FL Studio and I found this awesome new sample from Cymatics that ive constructed a beat around, but my 808 doesn’t sound in Tune with the sample (a minor) and ive tried all kinds of 808’s, no pitch adjustments on either
Is Grime and Rap the same? What about Drill and Trap? A rapper explains..

How is the UK sound changing? Is Grime dying?
Okay, so there’s no denying that at present, UK Drill is very much in the spotlight. New artists are coming out of the woodwork left right and centre, all of which leaves Grime looking a bit outnumbered. So, I can sort of see why you’d assume that Grime is dying.
