Appendix 2: Sample Recipe
I wanted to create a recipe that gets all its flavor from the sweeteners, and that explores the possible depth and range of those ingredients. It uses caramel, molasses (from the dark muscovado sugar), maple syrup, and chestnut honey. It’s about layers of flavor. Background hints of vanilla and salt take it an extra step.
