The Subjective Frame The personal and psychological experience of the artwork. Through this frame, art may be thought to be about and represent deeply felt and sensory experience, human consciousness, intuition, imagination, originality, creative expression, and the aesthetic response.
In the subjective frame: Artists are understood as individuals whose practice is informed by their personal experiences, including their thoughts, emotions, memories and imagination. Artworks are understood as records of personal experiences, feelings, memories, and/or the imagination.
