Gator1 ID Badge
All faculty, staff and students at the University of Florida are required to have university picture ID badges. These badges are necessary for everything – entering buildings after hours, checking out books at the library, using the recreation facilities, tickets to sporting events, etc.

Timekeeping
Non-exempt employees, who are paid an hourly rate, should report time worked through myUFL’s Time Reporting function, or via a time card, depending on their departments’ protocols. While non-exempt employees are required to “punch out” during lunch, they are not required to report breaks.
Your Earnings Statement
Because the University of Florida typically does not issue paper paychecks, you can view and print your earnings statement from myUFL. It is recommended that you regularly check your online earnings statement for accurate deductions. To do so, sign on to the myUFL system with your GatorLink username and password.

Who is eligible for a PCard?
UF staff, faculty, graduate assistants, and OPS (technical and professional) employees who must make purchases or travel for official University business are eligible to have a PCard. PCards may not be issued to students who are not employees. PCards are issued to individual UF employees whose dean, director, or department chair authorize the request.

Where is the billing address on my credit card?
Billing Address – The address associated with your card is the address where the card was sent and can be found on the page your PCard came attached to. Keep that page in a secure but convenient place – it has your card number on it and the number to call if your card is lost or stolen.

For travel charges, the description should include the business purpose and Travel Authorization (TA) number if available. If travel is for someone other than the cardholder, include the traveler’s name.

The current (old) department should request the card be suspended pending the transfer. This will prevent charges being charged to the wrong department.
Does UF pay sales tax?
As an entity of the State of Florida, UF is except from paying Florida sales tax. If you are charged sales tax contact the vendor and ask if they will honor our Tax Exempt status and issue a credit to your PCard. Vendors are not required to honor our tax exempt status but you should always ask.
