The Hapalua is Hawaii’s biggest and best half marathon, with over 10,000 entrants taking part every year. It’s organised by the team behind the world-famous Honolulu Marathon, so you are guaranteed an outstanding experience from the moment you enter to the moment you cross the finish line.

Registered runners must pick up their race packs, which include the running bib number and timing chip. Bring valid ID to the packet pickup. Participants must pick up their own race packs. No one will be able to pick up a race pack for a friend or family member.

The race course is great! Start line is in front of the Duke Kahanamoku statue on Kalakaua. You run along the Ala Moana Blvd and head into downtown area where you loop around and head back into Waikiki, up Monsarrat, around Diamond Head and finish at Kapiolani Park. Everything from the course markers, to the volunteers at the water aid stations, and to the police officers directing traffic were so well-organized.
