My morning glories have a discoloration on the leaves as seen in the attached photos. The discoloration starts as the yellow-light green patches seen in the first picture and then look worse over time, eventually including some brown. Eventually the leaf turns yellow and dies.

I have had mites in a few other locations before. I will check tomorrow and see if I can find any. I have never seen spider mites in plants that were not shrubs of some kind (privet, arborvitae, etc) but who knows.

I looked for mites today and don't see anything on either side of the leaf. I can't see anything moving at all and no sign of webs.

It is a fungus called Powdery Mildew, remove the infected leaves (it is spread by the wind) and do not compost them. Neem oil spray is a good choice for spraying the rest of the plant.

I agree with all the suggestions above. Instead of the Neem oil, which works great, I put some dish soap in some water and stir it up to get lots of bubbles. Then, I cover the plant with the bubbles and let sit for a few minutes, then rinse off thoroughly. Works great!
