
Are Corbin seats any good?
I rode down a few years ago to Corbin during the Hollister rally and had a custom heated seat made for my 2016 Indian Roadmaster. I find that Corbin seats are nice and hold up well, but they are HARD! this last summer, I made the trip again from Seattle to Santa Barbara, and my ass was literally bruised.

Is there a photo of Corbin's LePera seat?
Corbin's site has pics of the seat but it is shown on a Street glide I think. I think I am going to buy the Lepera seat on Monday. I am going to make it brown with the alligator leather.
How does a Corbin test ride work?
When the owner arrives, a Corbin seat is placed on the bike for an owner test ride on a prototype model. The owner then tells the technician what changes he or she might like to make. Multiple test rides can occur to see how to make the seat the most comfortable and to remove problem areas.

Are Corbin seats any good?
At $419, including leather seating panels, the Corbin seat is a good value—especially considering everything but the covering is warranted for the original owner for life. The rumble-seat style cover is irritating, but only visually—you can't see it when you're riding, and we all know that's what matters.
How long do Corbin seats take to make?
If we don't have your saddle in stock, time in the shop can differ greatly depending on the season. During the "slow months" turn around time is roughly 2 weeks. During the peak spring and summer months this turn around can vary greatly.

What are welts on a Corbin seat?
The welts are put in where important vinyl panels meet in order to prevent the threads from pulling out. They aren't put in places where you would be sitting on them, instead the vinyl and stitching is doubled up there if there is a join there.
How much does a Corbin seat weigh?
Corbin says the break-in period typically lasts 1,500-2,000 miles, and after logging 3,200 miles it's still quite firm—a bit too firm for my tastes. The Fire & Ice seat is also heavier than my Harley's stock seat, which weighs 8.4 pounds—the Corbin weighs 17.8 pounds.

Corbin covers are extremely durable and are weather resistant too. Although the materials are resistant to water intrusion, the stitching in the cover can let water in.

It really depends on the material used, but vinyl usually is softer, stretchier and some of the new materials actually “breathe” which makes them more comfortable. However, vinyl can create more friction with your backside and heat up more than leather on a long trip.
