The Daisy pin will go on the yellow insignia tab, and the Promise Petals that our Daisies earn this year will go on the front of the tunic, as they are earned. What Badges Do I Put on the Front of the Daisy Vest?
This includes the flag patch, your council insignia and your troop numbers. You also need to get the insignia tab holder and the WAGGGS and Daisy membership pins. The WAGGGS pin (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) will move up with your daughter so you will only need to purchase this one.

Do you have to sew Daisy badges?
A lot of the badges/patches that your Daisy will receive over her time at this level are going to have easy iron-on adhesives. However, some of the badges will require you to sew them on. (And honestly, some of the iron-on patches will need a stitch or two I’ve found).

Hi all, I am starting a new troop from scratch since our elementary school does not have one. I was thinking about making an email specifically for our troop so that all troop/scout related matters go to that email address rather than my personal account. Thoughts? Is this pointless or a good way to keep things separated?
New Leader Orientation Tips
I'm hosting my first New Leader Orientation/Welcome Meeting next week (over Zoom because the troop lives an hour away). I volunteer as the service unit manager (we don't have a volunteer mentor right now), and our assigned staff person is also going to host with me.

TL;DR - What do you actually bring for outdoor meetings/day hikes? What should a new volunteer have right away? What makes life easier to have vs just weighs down your pack? What items are worth spending extra money on (or not)?
Badges
I feel like this could be obvious but I’m missing it. Do the girls have to do all badge work with their troop and at meetings? I just started a multilevel troop of brownies and juniors and we are still getting going. My own daughter, a junior, is in the troop and she is starting horsemanship classes.

Cookie Sale Activity Pin – Girls who participate in the Cookie Program are eligible to earn the cookie pin by developing essential business skills and meeting activity requirements. Each year the pin color changes. These pins move on to the next program level uniform as to continually represent the years the girl has participated in Cookie sales.
