I'm in Wisonsin and have a new Autumn Blaze Maple tree in my front yard (facing East), which has been in the ground now for about 6 weeks. I watered it pretty much daily to every other day for the first 3 weeks, and since have backed off to about once a week if it doesn't rain an inch that week.
