After reading the book, I got an idea of the happenings during the Afghan war and the role the Taliban played. Khaled spices the story up with other necessary aspects of Afghan culture ranging from the food, their poetry, or their language (Farsi).
FINAL VERDICT OF AND THE MOUNTAINS ECHOED
Overall, it was a good experience. This book offers awesome story told through great writing. However, I found the book not as good as his previous books. I found too much jumping around between characters and time frames. Stellar writing but didn’t tie in well together.
