Each year we try to see the butterflies in the glasshouse at Wisley. This year is no different, although I was a little worried as we hadn’t picked a slot and since it was a Saturday I was expecting large queues.

The dazzling wildlife event was held at the famous garden every winter for many years, but organisers have said it won;t be on this year, and there is no date set for its return.

5 hours ago  · Wisley is a magical place to visit at almost any time of year. The gardens are quite outstanding with a massive range of plants all well displayed and named. The glasshouse provides a display of desert and tropical plants and is a good place to warm up on a cold day. The display of butterflies on our visit was a hit with the grandchildren.
