You are correct that propane has an odor. Strange, because I am a plumbing contractor. I work with propane, occasionally, and I even have a vacation home near Las Vegas that has a propane stove, furnace and water heater. I have a motor home with a propane tank and never remember ever smelling propane, but you are correct.
