Porcelain tile somehow absorbing water
Hey guys, have been driving myself crazy, posted on a few forums and it’s been a dead end, we had a full renovation of the master bath done in December, a few months after I discovered there was a weird few spots on the shower floor that looked like it was absorbing water, but it’s porcelain should be impossible right, I stopped using the shower all together for almost a month it did not go away, I figured maybe it’s a tile flaw, we had extras, I took a tile literally submerged in a bucket of water, only after a week of being in water continuously non stop not like shower usage did the perimeter start to look like water could be absorbing, I called my tile guy multiple times but he stopped taking my calls and disappeared, told me he did everything right and obviously it’s a flaw in the tile, other then the cosmetic value that the look bothers me and now it has clearly spread, I’m worried that there could be potential water damage that could lead to mold, someone please help, I have no idea and we are running out of imagination to solve this, it’s upsetting because I feel like I have to rip out the entire thing and start over,.
