The final 36-holes played by the '83 winner Larry Nelson is no less sensational. The diminutive professional from Georgia fired rounds of 65 and 67 to pass the likes of defending champion Tom Watson. Nelson's 132 total remains the lowest final two rounds of scoring in US Open history.
