How do I get involved in Thon?
There are many different ways to get involved in THON. You can join a participating student organization, volunteer as a Captain or Committee Member, start your own THON organization, attempt to dance independently, or attend any THON event throughout the year. How do I become a thon captain?
As a Captain, students take an active role in the planning of THON events throughout the year. Captain Applications are accepted in late April and late August each year, depending on available positions. Visit think.thon.org to view available Captain positions and to fill out an application or email [email protected] to learn more.
How do I apply to audition for Thon?
Applications to audition are LIVE on think.thon.org. Apply today if you would like to have the opportunity to perform during THON Weekend this year! More than 400 student organizations across campus are involved with THON, including multiple Special Interest Organizations whose sole mission is to fundraise for THON.
How do I register for Thon 2022?
You must participate in both the online pre-registration and the Dancer Registration event in order to dance. Registration dates for the upcoming THON are January 25-26, 2022. How Do I Make a Donation? You can donate online or by mail.
Can non Penn State students go to THON?
Yes! With the exception of THON 2021, dancers do stand for the whole 46 hours. That's right — no sleep! They are supported by their orgs that are in the stands of the Bryce Jordan Center, family members that come to visit, and their Dancer Relations committee member (DRCM).
How do you get to Penn State THON?
Penn State Students and Employees Students and employees who receive a negative test at White Building and intend to attend THON Weekend will be given their entrance wristband at White Building. Students and employees will need to wait for their results at White in order to receive an entrance wristband.

How do we get paid? Read-a-thon processes payments every Monday. If you are due a payment a check will be mailed to you.
Are there tips for holding a great Read-a-thon?
Should we offer prizes for our readers? We believe readers need to have the incentive to read so we offer a prize center. Readers earn RAT Bucks for every sponsor they get. At the end of the event the readers spend their RAT Bucks and purchase any prizes they choose. A reader will be credited with 15% of the money they personally raise to spend.
