Any chance of a pic of yours fitted? Makes me wonder if the extrusion should actually be there or not seeing as they seem to ship it without it!

Fit the doors before you put the f/f in the cabinet. Always do that or you will not be able to properly adjust the doors.

i find that i usually CAN adjust the doors with the fridge in, with a regular pozi screwdriver. Open the appliance door and stick it through the gap between appliance and its door.

I tend to use the older style, non clip off hinges, as they are slightly lower profile, and with 18mm carcases give you a little bit more to play with.

I've just had an integrated FF delivered, and it does look like I need to drill a couple of holes in the EDGE of the FRIDGE FREEZER door - is this usual - if there supposed to holes wouldn't they have put them there already, or al least have "marks" where you should drill?
Fridge Freezer Buying Advice
The short take away answer is, you cannot change, modify or adapt from one type to another.
Designed That Way
Most integrated fridges and freezers, as well as fridge freezers, have been designed to fit into a housing in a particular way, the actual cabinet shaped to allow that and accommodate the hinge type that is to be used.
But You Can Do It
Yeah, we've heard this from a few people but honestly, to do it there are a few things you need to bear in mind:
Door-on-door installation
With door-on-door installation, the kitchen unit and appliance doors are firmly connected with direct attachment of the unit door to the appliance door. The refrigerator door, therefore, bears the weight of the unit door.
Sliding door installation
In the case of sliding door installation, the unit door is directly attached to the unit using hinges and connected to the appliance door using sliding rails. When opened and closed, the unit door slides along the rails.

Step 1 – Measure Up
Step 2 – Check The Level
- Check that the appliance is level before you attempt to fit the doors. If it is not, the fittings will not match up properly and you may have to drill multiple holes. Also, if the outer door is hung crooked, it will look unsightly and stand out in an otherwise uniform kitchen.
Step 3 – Check The Manufacturer’S Kit
- Compare the manufacturer’s kit against the instructions before you go any further. Does it contain everything it's supposed to? Are there any additional parts or tools you need to purchase for the installation? If not, take your instructions with you to your local home improvement store and get anything you are missing. There are two main systems for fitting integrated fridge doors. One is …
Step 4 – Drill The Holes
- It is essential that the holes are drilled with precision to avoid unnecessary damage to the integrated fridge and to the cabinet doors. Follow the template provided with the manufacturer’s kit and double-check to avoid mistakes.
Step 5 - Screw The Door Into Place
- The measuring and the drilling are the difficult bits to this task; actually hanging the door is the easy part. Use the screws provided in your kit for this task and you should be finished—easy as that. Now your integrated fridge is hidden from view and your kitchen has a uniform look all around!
