Do split face tiles require grouting?
The tiles in the picture are a ceramic split face style tile from wickes. They will require grouting I assume due to them being a ceramic tile with the split face within the tile itself.

Mitering edges is often a challenging part of the trade, even more so on uneven/splitface tiles so I wouldn't recommend it to any DIYer. As for blades and cutting it entirely depends on the quality of tile, blade and tools. Some blades are to be kept wet, others can be used dry.
