What is an aquarite generator?

Aqua Rite is an auto chlorine generator for cleaning pools, and its operation needs a low concentration of sodium chloride in the pool water. These values are pretty low to the extent that they cannot be tasted.

What is Aqua Rite?

Aqua Rite is always on and usually attached to an allotted switch in systems with automation control. Ensure that the switch is not turned on and is placed in the ON section.

What is an aquarite display board?

The AquaRite display board, otherwise called PCB, is the display board for swimming pool chlorine generation systems. The display board clings to the main printed circuit board in the AquaRite chlorine generator power center to show the pool water’s mineral and salt levels.

Why does my Aqualrite board fail?

The AqualRite board failure is usually due to sacrificial malfunctioning of the varistor, thermistor, or fault from the fuse made to safeguard the circuit high-power voltage and current spikes that can occur after lightning or other voltage spikes.

Can chlorine be used to disinfect a pool?

The precise amount of chlorine needed to disinfect the pool depends on the temperature, rainfall, and bather load. This device is not recommended for generating bromine. It operates on 1.50 software versions or is eventually designed to utilize one of the three different cells manufactured by your authorized dealer.

Step 1: Adjusting Salinity (Salt) level

Before the chlorine generator can be calibrated correctly, the salinity—or salt level in the pool water—will need to be at the correct level. For these systems, it should ideally be between 3200-3600 ppm (parts per million). This can be tested using a salt test meter or salt test strips.

Step 2: Locating the Calibration Screen

Once the salinity is adjusted to optimal level, the calibration process can begin. With the pump running and unit set to "Auto" position, press the "Diagnostics" button five times. The screen should display " - 0".

Step 3: Setting the Salinity Level

This step can get tricky and may need to be repeated. While on the calibration screen and with the pool pump still running, push the "Auto" switch down to the "Off" position for two seconds.

More About the Calibration Process

Step 3 takes some practice as it counts down very quickly. For example, if the salinity level in the pool water is 3300 ppm, when the switch is pushed from the "Off" position up to the "Auto" position, after 10 seconds, it will display a set of numbers that start going down immediately. It might start at, say, 4800 (could be higher or lower).
