I just loosen the bolts of the subframe and use a bar to pull it down abit , while my lad changes the bush, or you could pull it down a bit and block it with a bit of wood, so you can change the bush safely.

I had the same problem with my 02 plate shogun sport 2.5td animal when i bought it brand new from the dealers got a load of waffle from the dealership, it went back 3 times before they fixed it, replaced all sorts before it was sorted including new alloys and tyres.

I have replaced my back shocks on 2004 maxima now something is rattling in the rear end can't figure it out wasn't doing it until I repaced those shocks

Hi Yameekia, Chock the front wheels, loosen the wheels, jack up the rear end and place chassis stands under the vehicle and then remove wheels. You will see a torsion bar connecting the left and right suspensions. The bar is sometimes referred to as an anti roll bar or a stabilizer bar.

Definitely get the anti roll bar bushes seen to, its such a front heavy car. The sleeves are plastic and crack away, leaving metal on metal. Also the wishbone bushes dry out and will need replacing (most likely source of the creaking).
