How does pumptec work on the motor?
How does a Pumptec work? Pumptec. Pumptec is a microcomputer-based device that monitors motor load and power line conditions to provide protection against dry well conditions, waterlogged tanks, and abnormal line voltage conditions. Pumptec interrupts power to the motor whenever the load drops quickly or below a preset level.
How does QD pumptec work?
viewed without removing the cover. Pumptec interrupts power to the motor whenever the motor load drops below a preset level or the load drops quickly. Pumptec is optimized to work with Franklin 2- and 3-wire single-phase motors from 1/3 to 1.5 hp. An underload (dry well) adjustment is provided to address unusual situations. Protection Features
What is a pumptec monitor?
Pumptec is a microcomputer based pump protection device that continuously monitors motor load and power line conditions to provide protection against dry well conditions, waterlogged tanks, and abnormal line voltage conditions Indicator lights provide complete system status, which can be easily viewed without removing the cover. Pumptec interrupts
What is pumptec plus pump protection system?
Pumptec pumps do not require oil, but they require grease. It is not necessary to remove a pump to simply add grease, but it is necessary to install the correct amount of grease when making repairs. The proper amount can be installed by filling the corners of the plunger slot and a shot of the same amount in the plunger center.

Is there power on Pumptec?
No power is applied to the Pumptec. Check for voltage at the L1 and L2 connections. If Pumptec is wired downstream of the control switch, the control switch may be open.
What are the three indicators on a Pumptec pressure switch?
Pumptec has three indicator lights labeled POWER, LOAD, and VOLTAGE . If the Pumptec is connected upstream of the pressure switch, the system status can be determined from these indicator lights at any time. When wired downstream of the control switch, no status will be displayed when the control switch is open.
What is Pumptec Plus?
The Pumptec-Plus solid state pump protection system is designed for 1/2 to 5 hp single-phase submersible#N#pump motors. Pumptec-Plus protects against a variety of fault conditions. Run and fault lights make diagnosis quick and easy. Push button Snap Shot™ calibration makes Pumptec-Plus simple to install and an effective troubleshooting tool.
What is a QD pumptec?
Exclusively designed for Franklin QD Relay Control Boxes, QD Pumptec is a solid state sensing device that monitors motor load and incoming power to automatically shut off a Franklin single-phase, 3-wire motor when related fault conditions are detected. QD Pumptec easily plugs into 3-wire Franklin QD Control Boxes with no additional wiring or tools required.

Does Pumptec Plus require special attention?
Under normal operating conditions, Pumptec-Plus requires no special attention. The power line voltage and motor power draw are continuously measured. If a fault condition is detected, an indication is given by a light on the front panel and the motor is disconnected from the power line.
What does it mean when a pumptec plus is yellow?
Turn on 230 Volt AC power. Once power is applied the Pumptec-Plus unit should trip, indicating an overload condition (blinking yellow light) when the pump tries to run. This is normal and is a reminder that Pumptec-Plus requres calibration.
What does B&C mean in motors?
If the RED and YELLOW lights (B&C) are flashing on and off together, a rapid cycle condition was detected. A rapid cycle condition is defined as more than four motor starts per minute.
