You'll always have something to do
I enjoyed working for them as long as I did but now I feel it's a good time to find work else where as the curtain closes on shopko. I liked the people I worked with. No two days were ever alike. Hardest part of the job was finding theft in the store. It always bummed me out that someone thinks its ok to do something like that.
Company is closing
I applied for the North Branch Shopko for a seasonal job. Ended up getting a permanent position and at a higher responsibility level. While I adored most of my coworkers, the store manager and customers were horrid. I worked mostly with customer service so I got the crabby entitled people.
Ruined My Life
Shopko was a horrible place to work. It tore the employees apart and then the worse aspect was that you got paid very little and never got any advancement. The managers never helped you and treated you like you know nothing.
Very rude managers
The managers were rude and had attitudes like they were better than everyone else. Staff was also very rude and a lot of them didn’t like eachother. Do not recommend.
part time job
I would only recommend this job to high school or college students. the pay is not very worth while when the stores are constantly understaffed due to budget and hour cuts.
Productive
My typical work day wasn't that bad. I've learned a lot about retail while working at Shopko. I personally didn't like the management what so ever. Most enjoyable part about my job was mainly the people I worked with.
Terrible
I hated it there. In the beggingbit was great, but as new people and management came in, it quickly took a turn for the worst. I was a cashier/customer service rep.
