Size too short, get wider ones
The 66in wide ones will look better and offer more versatility. Be sure to measure before ordering. A little overhang from the towers looks better.
Expected more
End caps not included. When you spend $100 for 2 five foot sections of scd40 pipe, I expected the end caps to be included.
Very Sturdy
These are much better then my OEM cross bars. They are more sturdy and robust. Metal is nice and thick.
Sleeves cracked after 4 years
After 4 years of use the black plastic sleeves are splitting from one end to the other. Hoping this will be covered under warranty. I haven't noticed any rust thankfully and the plastic part does not impact use.
Round bar sleeve splitting
Installing my Yakima roof rack today and after 3 years of use and storing in the garage during the winter, the black plastic sleeves are splitting from one end to the other. Hoping this will be covered under warranty and waiting to hear back after sending an email today.

Great ulitlity, but noisier than expected

You can find 1-1/8" OD aluminum extrusions online. It is difficult to find if you are searching for "pipe" or "tubing".

I used conduit. It was cheap. It is too light and very bendy and when a gust of wind hits the rowing shell when I'm doing 70, it gets bouncy.
