An unauthorised debit order is one that has gone off an account without a valid agreement between you and the third party (e.g. company/service provider) that submitted the debit order. If an unauthorised debit order has gone off your account you can dispute(reverse) the debit order and thereafter, place a stop payment on that debit order to prevent the company/service provider from collecting from your account in future.

What is it? Debit order scams occur when fraudsters load unauthorised debit orders on your bank account and in doing so, syphon funds from your account every month. These debit orders are usually for amounts that are small enough to go unnoticed and not trigger a payment notification from your bank.
