When Bellatrix attacks Fenrir Greyback, it looks almost certainly like she conjured a snake and had it wrap around his neck-you can even see its mouth opened and hear it hissing throughout the next few seconds. Should we add this as an appearance? 68.32.132.28 20:59, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Should Severus Snape be listed as one of the practitioners of Serpensortia? Since he taught Draco about it during Duelling Club, he's likely used it before.
Effects
A shugenja used this spell to summon all serpents, serpent-like creatures and snakes within an area of 120 feet (36 meters). The snakes did not harm the shugenja or their companions. If the snakes were attacked, the spell was broken and they became aggressive. When the spell expired, the summoned creatures returned to their normal activities.
Components
In addition to verbal and somatic components, the spell required a material component, a small flute made of silver. The shugenja played this flute for the duration of the spell.
