Advantage of cell references is that they allow one to update data in the worksheet without having to rewrite formulas. When one creates a formula one doesn't enter numbers into the formula – one enter cell references. It creates a great time advantage when one needs to duplicate that formula in other cells.
Why do we use cell references in a spreadsheet?
For the type of things that spreadsheets are used for, figures change frequently. In order to deal with this, formulas would have to change when changes are made to values if values were put directly into formulas. By using cell references then the formulas can do the calculations whatever values are in the cells.
Why should we not use constant values in formulas?
If you use constant values in your formulas then they are not flexible to a change in the values of the data. Sometimes this is perfectly acceptable; often it is not. Still have questions? Cell references formulas should be used in worksheets instead of? Cell references should be used where possible instead of having actual values in a cell.
When to use a cell reference instead of a constant?
You would want to use a cell reference as opposed to a constant value whenever you believed that the value might change (in other words it is a variable). Just imagine that in one cell you had a value that was the average of some other values (i.e. you had a formula in a cell that calculated the average of a given range).
What is the difference between formulas and logical values?
You use formulas rather than actual numeric values. Logical values are usually generated from formulas, so they are rarely typed in literally, so you would type formulas in instead of them, with cell references in those formulas, and possibly some values. In a Spreadsheet what are equations you build yourself using values and cell references?

Why is it better to use cell references instead of values in your Excel formulas?
By default, all cell addresses in Excel are relative. When moved or copied across multiple cells, relative references change based on the relative position of rows and columns. So, if you want to repeat the same calculation across several columns or rows, you need to use relative cell references.
What is the advantage of using cell references in formula?
Cell references are an important part of creating formulas in Excel. Using cell references allows your formulas to update automatically if the value in a particular cell changes and can also assist you in updating formulas as cells are copied or moved.

What is cell reference mention type 7?
There are two types of cell references: relative and absolute. Relative and absolute references behave differently when copied and filled to other cells. Relative references change when a formula is copied to another cell. Absolute references, on the other hand, remain constant no matter where they are copied.
