The hotel room do not have ceiling light as the ceiling of hotels are too high and it requires a lot of time in changing and cleaning of ceiling lights so most of the hotels do not prefer it. There can be other reason for not having ceiling light and that is ceiling lights can be less flexible from a design perspective.
