Can you fix gritty macaroni and cheese?
While it’s challenging to rectify some gritty macaroni and cheese or a grainy cheese, it’s not impossible. You can do it with some technical knowledge and quick-acting hands. You have to do everything beforehand to prevent possible curdling. And if the mac and cheese do curdle, immediately remove it from the heat.
Can macaroni and cheese be flawed?
That doesn't mean that macaroni and cheese can't be flawed. Perhaps the worst outcome is when it turns out dry. Whether it wasn't saucy enough before baking or you added too much flour on the stovetop, there's not much you can do save the dish after it comes out dry.
Is macaroni and cheese good for Thanksgiving?
Macaroni and cheese is a thing of beauty when done correctly. Gooey, cheesy, saucy, and perfectly salty, it's the ultimate Thanksgiving side. It can be fancied up with all sorts of mix-ins, from andouille sausage to broccoli, or kept classic and feel just as decadent. That doesn't mean that macaroni and cheese can't be flawed.

I cooked my dad a steak for the first time!
So I’m 17 and have been cooking for my family for a while now, but today my dad asked for some steak for Father’s Day. I chose some nice ribeye steaks because they seemed pretty easy to cook. I was pretty nervous but it turned out great! I just wanted to share this because I was excited about it being my first real steak.
A thank you to my wife
On Saturday evening, I was NOT in the mood for cooking dinner and was trying to find a restaurant for us to go to, despite that we had lunch out that day and are watching our money.
How many eggs do you use for scrambled eggs?
I love scrambled eggs but I swear they are the least efficient use of eggs. One boiled egg is enough for me, or two fried eggs instead. But when it comes to scrambling, they just disappear!
Tiny dishes
My girlfriend has anxiety, and when she gets really bad she has trouble eating.
What's the dumbest thing you've done while cooking
Mine was probably when I had the bright idea to throw some chicken in my instant pot before work, so I could use it to make lunch right when I got home without having to wait for it to come to pressure, Wait for it cook, wait for it to cool (I was shredding it w my hands)....wasn't until I got to work that I realized how dumb I am for not considering that the chicken would be unrefrigerated for nine hours 🙄 don't try to be smart at 4am when you're still half asleep, trust me, it won't work..
Why add water to a sauce etc just to reduce it?
I've seen this a bunch of recipes I use and don't really understand why I'm doing it - what's the point of adding water if I'm just going to cook it off? Usually these recipes are going for a 'thick' sauce as well, in which case it seems even more redundant. I'm assuming that there's some reason for it that I'm missing.
