It looks like BestBuy is bringing an end to its popular GamersClubUnlocked program. A memo apparently sent to employees on Friday states that the Richfield-based retailer will no longer offer its free GamersClub and paid-for GamersClubUnlocked memberships to customers.
To be specific, if you pre-ordered a physical copy or bought a new one in store, you'd get a 20% discount, while a used game would be 10% off. Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked will be permanently gone on March 1, 2021.Jan 14, 2021

Gamers club unlocked is bringing customers to stores to buy other things then just games, and a lot of customers are going to be lost if no action is taken. Please, bring back gamers club unlocked.

We as a community of enthusiasts implore Best Buy to re-institute Gamers Club Unlocked or an updated membership with similar benefits. Without this membership to unite gamers to Best Buy, I see no link to keep gaming customers purchasing from Best Buy.

To add to what the other guys said, once you bring it to the store MAKE SURE they do it correctly. I bought it in store, they supposedly linked it but then I wasn't seeing the discount when I bought other games or logged into my best buy. I had to go in store, They had to reactivate my GCU using a new card etc. and it was a pain in the ass.
