Is airstone safe for wood stoves?
AirStone is non-flammable, non-combustible and safe to use around wood stoves and fireplaces. It has a Class A rating in accordance with ASTM E-84 standards. When exposed to extreme temperatures (over 360 degrees F), certain lighter tones may be prone to discoloration.

Can you use airstone in a shower?
Technically, it’s fine if AirStone gets wet (of course! It’s approved for outdoor use!). HOWEVER, we probably would not recommend it for INSIDE a shower considering that you shouldn’t use harsh cleansers and stiff scrub brushes that are commonly used to clean shower areas.
How deep does an airstone have to be?
The depth of the stone averages about 5/8” (the stone molds are cast from real stone, so the depth can vary anywhere from 3/8” to 1”, even on the same piece). I want to use a power saw to cut the AirStone.
Can AirStone be used on fireplace?
AirStone comes in boxes of flat edge stones, natural edge stones, and corner edge stones that are already made to fit the edges of the fireplace perfectly. You'll also need the AirStone Interior Adhesive, which is the “glue” that adheres the stones to the existing wall.
Is stone veneer fireproof?

Do you need to seal AirStone?

Is AirStone easy to install?
Yes, yes, yes. I was a bit skeptical of the claim that anyone can install it using only pre-mixed adhesive, a putty knife and a hacksaw. But I have to admit, it REALLY is that simple. We didn't use any special mixing tools and used our sad, old hack saw to make our cuts. And we used an old putty knife to apply the adhesive. Super easy.

Natural stone and manufactured stone are heavy, mineral-based products and are more durable. Faux stone panels' greatest advantage is that they are easy to apply, requiring no mortar or grout.
