Once you have completed RASP, you finally will be a Ranger and will receive an assignment either to the 75th Ranger Regiment Headquarters or one of the three Ranger Battalions.

Should I Drop my rasp status?

Don’t drop RASP. Go. Give it your best, get into regiment, go to ranger school. You likely won’t have this chance again. It sucks, but it’s supposed to, and the pay off is worth it. To elaborate: Yeah, I know, we all understand you're sick of being in IET status, and for all I know being in RASP is being in IET. I dunno.

Will dropping rasp negatively affect my career?

I would first like to say that I appreciate the kind words you have given, and although I am no longer in the Army, not a day goes by that I don't utilize the tools and knowledge I gained while I was in, especially the knowledge gained from my Pre-RASP and RASP cadre.

Where did 11B end up?

Ended up in Fort Richardson, Alaska. You will most likely end up in the 82nd though. 97% of 11b's go to Bragg. The rest go to Italy and Alaska with an even smaller minority going to Polk and Korea (R.I.P.). Anything else except 11b goes to Group as support.
