Hi guys, when I've put my greenhouse together where is the best place to put the louvre vent??? On the side of the greenhouse (east/west) or the opposite end to the door (north) any advice would be most welcome

Spacemunkey Gardener

Thank you for your view on the louvre question. I thought it made more sense to place it opposite the door too

Spacemunkey Gardener

Would it make any difference which side the louvre went. Down here in South Wales the majority of the winds come from a South west direction. or has wind got nothing to do with it???

sandymac Gardener

I had to have my greenhouse east to west due to layout of garden and away from trees. Placing your louver vent opposite the door gives an even flow. wind has nothing to do with placement/

Spacemunkey Gardener

Thank you for helping out with my question Alex, I was just unsure where to place it as this is my first venture into gardening/greenhouse ownership. I'm trying to get things right before I start.

Spacemunkey Gardener

My thinking was, I have 2 roof vents (1 east, 1 west) the door is facing south so surely it would make sense to place the louvre vent on the rear. ( north) That way all four sides will provide ventilation??? Or is that not the case??
